Living at Choice is a counselling and psychotherapy practice based in Brighton & Hove, East Sussex, BN1, run by Mark Vahrmeyer and Sam Jahara.  Together we offer both long- and short-term counselling, psychotherapy and creative arts therapy to individuals and couples.

At Living at Choice we work using a range of established psychological therapies, as we recognise that one size does not fit all when it comes to you getting to grips with your problems and to how you make sense of your life. 

Between us we have over 25 years of experience in the field of applied psychology and have trained specifically to work using psychodynamic and humanistic approaches, as well as using cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), where appropriate. 

Whilst we may each employ different approaches in our counselling or psychotherapy sessions, we both share the ethos that each and every person has the potential to find their way through their problems, thereby enabling them to make more conscious choices.

Both Mark and Sam are qualified to offer counselling and psychotherapy services and are fully registered members with the relevant professional bodies (MBACP). Living at Choice abides by the Ethical Framework for Good Practice, a voluntary Code of Practice prescribed by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) as well as subscribing to the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) Code of Ethics.
